MIRI: Three Toastmasters Clubs — Dynamic Toastmasters Club, Pacific International Advanced Toastmasters Club, and Utama Toastmasters Club — are set to co-host a free online Evaluation Masterclass and Workshop featuring Donna Barclay, a distinguished Toastmaster and champion in various Toastmasters contests.
Scheduled for April 20 from 2pm to 4pm, this workshop is part of Kuching-based Toastmasters clubs’ ongoing efforts to promote communication and leadership skills development within the community.
Organising chairperson Genison Wibawa, a seasoned Toastmaster, noted the significance of Donna Barclay’s expertise in evaluation and feedback.
“This will be a wonderful opportunity for the participants to learn about the importance of a feedback-rich culture in facilitating personal and professional development, ” he added.
A distinguished Toastmaster, Donna has numerous accolades under her belt. She has been crowned Toastmasters International District 87 champion on numerous occasions in both Evaluation and Table Topics Contests.
He said the workshop will not only benefit Toastmasters club members seeking to enhance their evaluation skills but also educators, managers, and professionals interested in refining their feedback techniques.
“Positive feedback in learning environments and workplaces has been shown to create a positive impact on both students and employees,” he added.
Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organisation that teaches communication/public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Members develop these essential skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
