SIMUNJAN: Nineteen mosques and surau here received contributions from Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.
According to a report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), the handover ceremony was held at Masjid Daerah Simunjan on Friday.
The Batang Sadong Member of Parliament said the contributions are a token of appreciation for the community leaders who have worked hard in carrying out their duties.
“I hope that this allocation is used wisely in an effort to produce an ummah that is obedient to Allah SWT and always grateful for His blessings,” she said.
During the handover ceremony, Nancy and Simunjan assemblyman Awla Dris also visited and officiated at the ‘Program Lambaian Ramadan Bubur Lambuk Belia Simunjan’ at Masjid Darul Hijrah.
Also present were Simunjan District Officer Abdul Khalis Manap, Simunjan District Council secretary Mohd Rizal Zakari and other dignitaries.
