‘Nanga Ukom—The Sarawak’ wins short film contest

SIBU: Shia Yih Phen from Kuching with his short film title, ‘Nanga Ukom — The Sarawak’ emerged champion in the Sarawak short film competition organised by Sarawak Digital Media E-Platform Association in Sibu on Saturday.

Second place went to Charlton Andrew (Kuching) with his short film, ‘Welcome to the Kingdom’ and Lin Zing Kai with film, ‘The Gift of Motherland’, came in third.

Sibu Member of Parliament Oscar Ling gave away prizes to the winners. Present was chairperson of Sarawak Digital Media E-Platform Association Zoey Ting.

In her speech, Ting congratulated the 20 finalists of the Sarawak short film competition.

She said the association received sixty-one entries from Kuching, Kota Samarahan, Lawas, Lundu, Sibu, Miri, and Bintulu.
