KOTA SAMARAHAN: Members of the public who will be returning to their villages for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, are urged to take precautions to safeguard their homes from potential burglaries.

Kota Samarahan police chief DSP Jaimi Husin said this in a press conference held at the district police headquarters (IPD) yesterday.

“Those who are returning to their villages should remind their neighbours to keep an eye on their vacant houses during this festive season.

“Aside from that, they can also inform the nearest police station of their absence, which will allow the police to monitor and patrol their house to prevent criminal activities, including burglaries,” he said.

He also advised road users to drive safely, adhering to traffic regulations and not to commit any offences that could jeopardise their journey and that of others.

In addition, Jaimi also shared that Kota Samarahan IPD will be organising various operations during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
