KUCHING : A photography competition will be held in conjunction with the 17th Kuching Intercultural Mooncake Festival hosted by the Federation of Kuching Division Community Associations and organised by the Old Market Community Association.
This competition is open to all Malaysian citizens. Photographs can be taken from September 17 to 24 during the Mooncake Festival at Carpenter Street, China Street, Ewe Hai Street, Wayang Street and Plaza Merdeka Shopping Mall. Entries can be presented in any style but “cut and paste” or “superimposition of sceneries” are prohibited. The photographs must be printed on photo paper (size 8” x 12”).
The entries that are not submitted according to the specified size will not be accepted. There is no limit to the number of entries but the entrants must indicate their names, identity card numbers, addresses, email addresses and contact numbers on the back of the photos.
The first prize is RM500, the second prize is RM400, the third prize is RM300 while there are three consolation prizes of RM100 each. This competition is free but the entrants must be responsible for all costs of printing and delivery. The organiser will not be responsible for any damage or loss caused by the entrants during the submission of the entries. In addition, all entries will not be returned to the entrants and the organiser reserves the right to use all entries without prior notice to the entrants.
The organiser is not responsible for any legal proceedings involving the misappropriation of other people’s works. All entries must be submitted to No. 39, Carpenter Street, Kuching, Sarawak on or before 4 pm on October 30, 2018. The results of the competition will be announced in the newspapers and the winners will be notified by telephone.
