63 PTD trainees in 2-week military programme

KOTA SAMARAHAN: A total of 63 Diplomatic Administrative Officer (PTD) trainees joined the fourth series of National Defense Orientation Module of Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management (DPA) at the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) in Muara Tuang Camp Complex here, yesterday.

The module held for two weeks started yesterday until 21 March. The opening ceremony was officiated at by Third Infantry Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Mohd Bustaman Haji Mat Zin.

“The objectives of the module are to disseminate knowledge relating to an organisation, roles and responsibilities and knowledge of the army, operation and tactical strategies; understanding the army’s culture and discipline as well as improving mental and physical ability,” said Bustaman.

After the programme, the trainees will undergo fire and rescue and police training modules as part of their practical training in government departments and agencies.

Also present were INTAN Senior Training Consultant, Hafiza Kamaru, Chief Staff of First Division Infantry, Colonel Isa Daud and other senior army officers.
