KUCHING: Six persons aged between 17 and 32 years old were arrested after Bau police launched a raid in the afternoon on Wednesday.
Found on them were drugs and a pistol.
Bau police chief, DSP Mohamad Sabri said acting on information received, they went to a house in Grogo, Bau and detained the six male suspects.
After checking, police personnel found a packet of crystal-like substances
believed to be syabu, two packets of cystal like substances also believed to
be syabu. A pistol black in coluor was also found on the rooftop of the house.
Value of the drugs was estimated to be RM300. All the six suspects were also tested to be drug positive and would be charged under Section 15(1) and Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 which carries a maximum jail term of
five years or RM1000 fine or both.
Police remanded the six for four days pending police investigation.
They are investigating to find the owner of the pistol.
