KUCHING: A man died after his high powered bike collided with a car along Jalan Sebiris in Sematan yesterday. The deceased was identified as Kok Pin Kong, 62.

He was said to be following a convoy of big bikers when the accident occurred at a junction at around 1.00pm. As a result of the collision, he was thrown of the machine and landed in the bush by the roadside.

An ambulance was called to the scene and Kok’s body was taken to the Sarawak General Hospital for further action. Meanwhile, a private parking attendant was killed in an accident involving a motorcycle and a car near a commercial centre at Jalan Tun Jugah here early yesterday.

The deceased was identified as Ramrao Chinapaya, from Batu Kawa. In the incident that occurred at around 2.00am, Ramrao who was riding a motorcycle came out of a road junction and was hit by a car that was heading to Simpang Tiga from Kota Sentosa.

An ambulance was called to the scene and he was taken to the Sarawak General Hospital for treatment. However, Ramrao succumbed to injuries at around 8.40am. His body was sent to the mortuary for a post mortem.
