Dividends totalling RM460,920 for 83 Felcra participants

BETONG: A total of 83 participants of the oil palm plantation project of Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (Felcra) Berhad Tanjung Assam received the yearly dividend totalling RM460,920.43 in a simple ceremony graced by Saribas State Assemblyman Mohammad Razi Sitam, yesterday.

According to Chairman of the Project Development Committee (AJKKP) who is also the leader of the participants Abdul Kadir Manterang, the dividend was the profit gained by the participants in 2017 and the amount depends on the size of land ownership.

“The average dividend was about RM3,506 for a hectare of land,” he said. At the same event, the Project Development Committee (AJKKP), through the participants’ welfare fund, also contributed RM100 cash and basic necessities each to 20 senior citizens in Kampung Tanjung Assam in preparation for the coming Ramadan.

Earlier, Razi visited the Felcra Berhad’s proposed project which was upgrading the community hall involving the re-wiring of the outside of the hall.
