KUCHING: Sarawak failed to capitalise of their own homeground advantage to hold Terengganu to a 0-0 draw in Malaysia Cup 2017 match at the State Stadium in Petra Jaya, here, on Tuesday night.

Despite the Crocs failure to finish the chances against Terengganu, new head coach Pengiran Bala was delighted with their strong determination which enabled his squad to hold well throughout the game.

“Terengganu team are more impressive as they fielded three import players against our team of local players.

“I am very proud of the fighting spirit displayed by our reserved players,” he said, believing that the local players were also capable of competing at higher level.

Pengiran Bala gambled on fielding almost all his reserved players against Terengganu.

By fielding the reserve players, he said he would be able to identify the talented players who would be in their probable line-up against PKNS in the Super League.

He said he will always rotate the players because of the tight match schedule but will be more focused on Super League matches.
