MIRI: A 69-year-old security guard was found dead at his workplace in a building in Piasau Utara, Miri, after being said to have been unreachable since two days ago.
The victim was identified as Mayu Buyu from Kampung Piasau Utara who was found by one of his nephews at the lower floor of the building in ‘rigor mortis’ condition about 2pm yesterday.
It is learned that the victim died two days ago after his family members failed to contact him, not until his aunt went to his workplace. Following the discovery, a member of the victim’s family contacted the police for further action.
A team of policemen rushed to the scene to conduct further investigation. The victim’s body was then taken to Miri Hospital for a post mortem before being handed over to family members.
