KUCHING: The Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak (YPS) is set to embark on its latest project, which will focus on documenting and sharing stories of unity from all over the State.

In a press statement issued here yesterday, the Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of YPS, will launch the project known as Heritage Trails & Tales of Unity at a hotel here on July 21.

The historical-themed project aims to chart the journey that Sarawak has taken in order to attain its stature as a model of unity in the country.

Through this project, YPS will explore, discover, document and highlight the stories of how the people of Sarawak, from all walks of life and in all the areas of the State, are strengthening and preserving this spirit of unity for posterity.

The core of this project will be the research, compilation, content creation and production of authoritative information materials on the events, people and places that make up the milestones, landmarks and icons of unity in Sarawak.
