KUCHING: SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by the busi-ness community of RH Commercial area who complained of an illegal rubbish dump where leftovers of construction materials are left to rot near their shop-houses, which is not only an eyesore but has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and rats.

Yap then requested Kuching South City Council (MBKS) for the removal of the leftovers of construction materials and rubbish thrown by irresponsible contractors carrying out renovation works and also for a proper signage be put up to warn irresponsible contractors and members of the public from dispos-ing rubbish at the site.

The debris had been cleared and a signage has been put out to warn the public not to dispose their rubbish at the site.On another matter, SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was informed by residents of Wisma Satria Jaya, BDC, Kuching of a broken underground water pipe in the housing area. Yap immediately went to inspect and assess the situation and also to see what can be done to quickly resolve the problem.

The matter was immediately high-lighted and brought up to the attention of the Kuching Water Board (KWB). The broken water pipe has been repaired by a contractor appointed by KWB and SUPP Public Complaints Bureau Chief, Wilfred Yap would like to thank KWB for their speedy and efficient action in solving the broken inwater pipe.

Since a lot of people are still not familiar on how to contact KWB on water pipe leakages, SUPP PCB would like to inform the general public that KWB can be contacted for reporting of water leakages and unauthorised usage or illegal con-nection at KWB’s 24 hour hotline 082-222333 or the public can SMS their report to KWB through 019-8866650.
