BALINGIAN: A total prize of RM15,000 are up for grab for the forth coming Kaul Fishing Safari 2017 to be held on this coming 23 April.
This 7th edition of the sporting event held in conjunction with the annual Mukah Kaul Festival offers handsome cash prize and in kinds plus fishing equipments.
It is organised by the alluminium smelting plant, Press Metal Sarawak(PMS) in collaboration with the organizing committee of Mukah Kaul Festival.
According to the spokesman, Francis, the half-day fishing competition was scheduled to be from 7am to 11am.
“The venue of fishing competition which will be divided into various categories is at Tasik Cinta of PMS. It will begin at 7am. The entry fee is RM12,” he said.
He added that the proceeds or fees collected would be donated to the Mukah Community Based Rehabilitation Center(PDK Mukah).
For this year, Francis reiterated they targeted to get 600 participants from all over the state and beyond.
“Last year we managed to gather 512 anglers from all over the state. Hence, this year we hope to get more, maybe 600 participants. Besides the prizes, we also come up with 30 lucky draws featuring attractive prizes,” he disclosed.

“Besides it, the entry forms are also available at PMS Main Entrance Gate from 9am to 4pm daily, and also at our counter at Wet Market Mukah on every Saturday from 9am to 5pm,” reiterated Francis.
