SIBU: Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for P211 Lanang, Kelvin Kong promises to give the best services to the people in Lanang if he is given the mandate in the coming 14th General Election (GE14).
He also intends to bring more development in the central region of Sibu for the benefit of the people.
“It includes the efforts to promote eco-tourism along the Rajang River so that foreign tourists would know the uniqueness and beauty of the Rajang River.
“This effort will undoubtedly attract more foreign tourists and at the same time locals will be able to take the opportunity to promote local products and handicrafts.
“This will also directly encourage the growth of the tourism industry in Sibu, in particular and Sarawak as a whole,” he explained at a press conference held at Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Dudong Branch office here, yesterday.
Kong, who is also Deputy Chairman of SUPP Dudong Branch stressed that he had no problem in providing the best services to serve the people in the Lanang parliamentary.
Meanwhile, BN-SUPP Lanang Parliamentary constituency public secretary and chairman of SUPP Dudong Branch Wong Ching Yong who also spoke at the press conference said that Kong has set up a service centre to serve people in the Lanang parliamentary constituency.
“Kong has set up a service centre to serve the people of Lanang. And we have already renovated the place and we are just waiting for the installation of its signboard.
“Apart from that, he also set up a Special Committee to help provide the best services to the people in Lanang.
“This proves that Kong is very determined to serve the people with efficiency and honesty,” Wong said.
