RM200,000 to kick start construction of school hall

ULU BALINGIAN: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Joseph Entulu Belaun recently announced an allocation of RM200,000 to kick start the construction of SMK Ulu Balingian hall.

He said the construction of the hall would be built in an open space of the school through mutual cooperation.

He hoped when completed, the hall could be used for gatherings and for sports.

“Besides organising a fund raising dinner, I will strive to find an additional fund for the hall,” he explained during the presentation of special school assistance at SMK Ulu Balingian here on Saturday. A total of 554 students of the school received the assistance.

Entulu, who is also Member of Parliament for Selangau, also called on the parents to continue supporting the school activities for the success of the students.

“SMK Ulu Balingian has scored many successes, compared to previous years. I am impressed by the seriousness of the school principal to bring the school towards excellence.”

Entulu also announced a grant of RM10,000 to the Parent-Teacher-Association of SMK Ulu Balingian.

Entulu’s wife, Datin Jacklyne Anthony, Political Secretary to the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Adriana Chumang Nyambong and Principal of SMK Ulu Balingian, Lau Ngie Tung were among those present at the function.
