KUCHING: The signing of a Sales Agreement (SA) between Kaliman Timber Corporation Sdn. Bhd and its Indian counterpart Singla Timbers Pvt. Ltd. was held on the third day of the 3rd Sarawak Timber and SMEs Expo 2017 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here, last Saturday.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Deputy Chief Minister Minister, Minister of Industrial And Entrepreneur Development and Second Minister of Urban Development and Natural Resources, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.
With the Sales Agreement Kaliman Timber Corporation Sdn. Bhd., a Sarawak-based company will supply sawn timber of various species annually to India worth about RM4million.
The timber supply will be delivered on a quarterly basis at RM1million per shipment.
Also present at the ceremony were Assistant Minister of Coastal Road Datuk Haji Julaihi Narawi, Assistant Minister of E-Commerce, Assistant Minister of Entrepreneur and Small, Medium Enterprise (SME) Development, Datuk Haji Mohd Naroden Majais, Assistant Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment, Datu Len Talif Salleh, Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Industrial and Entrepreneur Development, Trade and Investment, Datu Liaw Soon Eng, General Manager of the Sarawak Timber Industry and Development Corporation (STIDC), Datu Serudu Hoklai the STIDC Deputy General Manager, Haji Hashim Bojet.
