KOTA SAMARAHAN: Temayan FC team created own history when they emerged champions of the Kampung Sungai Empit Women’s Football Championship 2017 in Kota Samarahan 2017, recently.
The team nicknamed after Kampung Moyan Lidang, however, have to battle their way through a penalty shootout to overcome Kasma Gilrs FC 4-3 before their can lift the trophy. After a full-time game of 70 minutes, both teams were tied 1- 1.
With the victory, Temayan FC received RM500 cash, a trophy and medals. Kasma Girls FC team received RM300 cash, a trophy and medals for finishing runners-up.
Meanwhile, Sister FC’s team ended third to take home RM200 cash, a trophy and medals and fourth place Araf FC team received a cash prize of RM100 and a trophy. The tournament which kicked off on October 1 saw a total of 13 teams competing in the champion.
