KUCHING: A 65-year old crane operator was arrested by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Kota Samarahan on Wednesday at 12.30 pm to assist in the investigation for causing two deaths.
Two construction workers were killed after a crane fell on them at a construction site in Kota Samarahan on August 11. The case was initially classified as ‘Sudden Death Report’ pending further investigations.
The case has now been reclassified as causing death by negligence under section 304A of the Penal Code. State CID chief SAC Dato Dev Kumar confirmed the case.
