MIRI: A 30-year-old man was arrested with two motorcycles believed stolen in an incident at an oil palm estate in Kuala Baram near here yesterday morning.
The suspect was nabbed by some public members in the incident at around 6am. According to sources, prior to this, the concerned members of the public saw a group of men in suspicious condition before trying to arrest them.
“One of the suspects was arrested while his friends escaped. “In addition, two motorcycles believed to be stolen were also seized together with the suspect,” he said.
He said the suspect and motorcycles were then handed over to the police for further action. The suspect is now detained at the Miri Central Police Station for further investigation under Section 379A of the Penal Code.
