KUCHING: The Malaysian Institute of Architects Sarawak Chapter (PAMSC) will be holding a series of online lectures on architectural designs starting on October 2.

PAMSC chairperson, Ivy Jong explained that the5at5 Design Forum 2020 was part of the PAMSC Design Festival (PDF) programme which was postponed in March due to the enforcement of the movement control order to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

She said the online lectures for the forum would be conducted on five consecutive Fridays at 5pm.

“In the face of adversity, we must adapt to change and make the best of the situation. I believe organising free online lectures will encourage young architects and members of the public to join and participate in the discussions and improve  their knowledge on designs.

“We have decided to downscale and convert the PDF festival into a series of five online lectures which include design lectures, site visits to local buildings of significance with exhibitions of products and ideas,” Jong said in a press statement issued on Tuesday (Sept 29).
