KUCHING: A police report was lodged at 6.25 pm after the charred remains of a senior citizen were found in the sitting room of the house which was destroyed in a fire on Sunday afternoon.
The victim has been identified as 65-year-old Mohamad Syafuddin Loh bin Abdullah.
The victim who was paralyzed was in a house at Bandar Baru Semariang near here when it caught fire. He was taken care of by his daughter who was at her workplace during the fire.
When the firemen shifted through the debris after the fire was put out, they were shocked to find the victim’s remains in the sitting room of the house.
Police are investigating.
