SARATOK: Former Kalaka assemblyman Datuk Abdul Wahab Aziz once again reiterated that his party will only propose one name as a candidate for the Kalaka seat to represent the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) to contest in the upcoming 12th State Election.

According to him, the name of the candidate has been mentioned several times and also has the support of party members at the grassroots level.

“That’s right, there’s no other name — just as I have often said.

“I have to be fair to him who has been fighting together in PBB for over 10 years.

“Most importantly, he is a very humble person. InsyaAllah, I am confident he will be supported by all voters under the Kalaka state constituency,” he told our reporter.

Abdul Wahab added the prospective candidate, who is a native of Kalaka, also has extensive experience in politics and administration.

“He started as the deputy chief of the Kalaka Branch Youth movement.

“After that, he became the Information chief and now, the PBB Kalaka Branch deputy chief.

“I am very confident that he is very experienced in terms of politics and administration apart from his people-friendly attitude,” he pointed out.

In this regard, Abdul Wahab urged all residents under the Kalaka state constituency to give their full support to the PBB/GPS candidate to ensure a big victory in their favour.

“Kalaka still needs more development to ensure we are not left behind.

“Therefore, we must ensure victory in favour of GPS because GPS will ensure that Sarawak and its people are protected,” he stressed.

Previously, Abdul Wahab had decided to retire from politics after being actively involved for three decades.
