KUCHING:   Santubong MP hopes that ten percent of the reform promises made by the Pakatan Harapan (PH) party leaders and supporters will be fulfilled this year.

Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar

Expressing his New Year wish, Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar hoped PH’s promises to alleviate people’s sufferings, generate income and uplift happiness would be realised.

“Our economy is shrinking, government assets are depleting, national debt is increasing, prices of goods are increasing, value of money is shrinking, people are suffering, unhappy, disillusion and confused,” he said.

He added foreign investors were not coming while those in the country were getting out.

“We are making enemies of the world and we are making enemies with those who can contribute to our economy, wellbeing and welfare. In fact, we are distancing ourselves from the world community,” he said.

Wan Junaidi added the racial and religious tensions were rearing their heads.

“There is a gapping hole in national cohesion, people are splitting into segments through words, deeds and actions of political players and manipulators.

“The government is either pleading ignorance, lacks initiative and to certain extent, has created the racial and religious tensions through ill-considered deeds and actions,” he said.

He said there were no more excitements, no vision of hopes and happiness and high expectations for the year 2020.

He added people had resigned to their fate of being governed by a government poor in management and administration and unable to steer and guide the country to seek for a better 2020.

In 2017, Wan Junaidi said the people were confident   the country could achieve the Vision 2020 target of a developed nation with high income status by 2025 as envisioned by the fourth Prime Minister (Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad).

“But the irony is that the PH administration, led by the same person, has for the last 20 months succeeded in destroying the hope and dream that fourth Prime Minister had envisioned 30 years ago,” he said.

Wan Junaidi said he hoped and dreamed that Mahathir would wake up one morning and advise the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to dissolve the Parliament and call for the 15th General Election (GE) with no more lies, false promises, exaggerated manifesto and ‘big mouth’ by the PH leaders
