Queen feted to river cruise dinner

KUCHING: Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah was feted to a dinner aboard the Sarawak River Cruise ship on Monday night (July 4).

The Queen, accompanied by Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, arrived at 8pm and was greeted by the Premier of Sarawak’s wife, Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang.

Also present were members of the Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Sarawak (Sabati).

During the two-and-a-half-hour cruise, they were taken along the banks of the city, enjoying the evening view and were also entertained to a song performance.

Tunku Azizah also attended the 13th Associated Country Women of the World Area Conference for Southeast Asia and the Far East on Tuesday (July 5) at Grand Margherita Hotel here before visiting the Brooke Gallery at Fort Margherita later in the afternoon.

The Queen’s arrival was greeted by Juma’ani and Sabati members.
