Ragad hands over food baskets to 50 recipients

BAU: Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib, wife of Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, Today (Nov 14) presented food baskets comprising basic necessities from the Ragad Foundation to 50 recipients at Dewan Suarah Bau.

The event took place during the “Kamek Prihatin” programme which included Tasik Biru constituents who were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ragad distributed food baskets provided by the Ragad Foundation. The food baskets consisted of rice, cooking oi and other basic necessities such as dry food.

Ragad Foundation is a foundation under the auspices of the Head of State, with Ragad as its permanent chairman. Its members comprise full-time and part-time volunteers who are dedicated to helping the less fortunate.

Also present during the event today were the State Welfare, Community, Well-being, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, Tasik Biru incumbent Datuk Henry Harry Jinep and his wife Datin Christina Esni
