KUCHING: The wife of the Head of State Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib yesterday presented a donation amounting to RM60,000 to the Sarawak General Hospital in an effort to help fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
The contribution is aimed to satisfy medical needs, such as medicines and hospital equipment, for the Covid-19 wards throughout the state.
Raghad was grateful for the sacrifice and commitment displayed by the frontliners, especially those on duty at hospitals and clinics who are directly exposed to the risk while performing their duties.
She hoped that the pandemic could be successfully put under control and totally eradicated the soonest possible, and that the people would play their part to help stop the spread of the virus by following the instructions and recommendations by the Health Ministry throughout the movement control order (MCO) period between March 18 and 31.
