SARIKEI: Three bedridden patients each received an adjustable bed donated by Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii.

The patients are Angel Tan Su Ching, 14, in Jelutong Barat who was bedridden since birth and two senior citizens; Ling Poh Ping, 75, and Chieng Mee Ngik, 88.

The beds are to ease the patients’ families’ burden as well as make it easier for caretakers to manage the patients on a daily basis.

“This donation will continue from time to time. The assistance provided demonstrates the concern of Datuk (Huang) who is always focused on alleviating the burden of the underprivileged,” said Penghulu Huang Tiong Kang, who represented Huang.

At the same time, he said various other needs were also taken care of to ensure the people’s wellbeing.

“It includes infrastructure development to ensure that the people benefit greatly in the long run,” he said.

Donations are part of the Repok assemblyman’s social services to help the underprivileged.
