KUCHING: Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii has brought much development to his constituency in the past five years, said Penghulu Yeu Chii Tung.

Yeu hoped that the constituents would continue supporting Huang, who is the Repok assemblyman, and the Gabungan Parti Sarawak government.

He pointed out that Huang and Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg had provided numerous rural transformation projects to help the development in the area.

“I hope that Sarikei will continue to be under Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii’s leadership so that there would be more economic growth.

“In the past five years, he has brought much development such as improving infrastructure and road connectivity in rural areas. This is important to help economic growth in these areas,” Yeu said.

Yeu, the community leader for Merudu, Meruton and Sungai Baji, also said Huang understood the needs of the people in rural areas.

“Besides improving road connectivity, he has also improved schools, churches and temples. He truly understands the needs of the people and does his best to provide assistance.
