KUCHING: Acting head coach of Sarawak, Pengiran Bala is counting on the capabilities of his players to win in the Malaysia Cup 2017 campaign.

Thus, local fans are much welcome to watch a match against Terengganu at State Stadium, Petra Jaya tonight (8.15pm) to realise the Crocs mission.

Although Pengiran said in his second test tonight, he would probably risk fielding reserved players as some of the first eleven are still tired.

“We are striving to win although it is likely the reserve players will come in for the starting line-up tonight,” said Pengiran yesterday.

He said the tight match schedules (Malaysia Cup & Super League) has affected the fitness level of his players, resulting in a slump of his players performance in both championships.

“Perhaps by fielding the reserved players for tonight’s game, will give them the chances to prove their true ability,” said Pengiran again.

However, Pengiran needs to be careful when risking the starting line-up in every game, especially for tonight’s game.

He said his main focus was the Super League 2017 campaign and hoped it would yield positive results.

“Sarawak will be against PKNS FC at the State Stadium, Petra Jaya for the Super League 2017 campaign on Saturday (22nd July) and by resting the key players, we are hoping to recover their true forms to achieve the much desired home win,” said Pengiran.
