ASAJAYA: The active case detection (ACD) operations carried out at three villages in Asajaya District, namely Kampung Asajaya Laut, Kampung Asajaya Tengah, and Kampung Asajaya Ulu, from March 10 to 12 will involve some 5,000 residents in the area.

The Kota Samarahan Service Centre in a Facebook post on yesterday said a survey conducted in the morning found that residents were complying with authorities’ directives and health officers were preparing to carry out the ACD.

On Tuesday, the Samarahan Divisional Disaster Management Committee announced that Samarahan Division Health Office would be carrying out ACD in these three villages from 8.30am to 3pm, March 10 to 12.

Kota Samarahan MP Rubiah Wang reminded residents in the area to be calm and cooperate fully with the frontliners on duty.

She said the cooperation of residents was vital in ensuring that the Covid-19 transmission chain could be broken.

She added that the ACD implementation in Kampung Pinang and Kampung Muara Tuang in Samarahan earlier this year showed the effectiveness of the operation to ensure that all individuals potentially carrying Covid-19 could be isolated in order to prevent the outbreak from worsening.
