KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by the business community of 7th Mile Bazaar (Kota Sentosa) for his assistance to request Padawan Municipal Council to carry out road resurfacing, maintenance and improvement works for the whole stretch of both sides of the road at Kota Sentosa square due to the uneven road surfaces which resulted in ponding at certain stretches after it rained.

According to the traders and hawkers carrying out their business activities in the 7th Mile area, they made the request because of heavy vehicles plying both roads and they further requested for the resurfacing and improvements works to be carried out at night to prevent or minimise traffic disruptions and inconvenience to their customers.

Wilfred Yap thanked the Engineering Department of Padawan Municipal Council and its contractor for acceding to the requests made by the business community of Kota Sentosa Commercial area for carrying out the tar-sealing works at night.
