SERIAN: There’s a high possibility that SK St Teresa Serian here may be able to retain its name.
Serian MP Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem, in a Facebook post on Thursday, revealed that he was in talks with the school’s management board on the issue.
He said that the discussions had deliberated on ways to ensure that the school’s name could be maintained.
The school management board was led by its chairman Monsignor William Sabang during the meeting held at Serian district education office here.
Based on previous news reports, SK St Teresa Serian was being gradually closed due to the dilapidated condition of the school buildings.
Riot, who is a former student of the school, had vowed to rescue the school from becoming only a memory.
