PUTRAJAYA: Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem has been conferred Honorary Doctorate in Transformational Leadership by Lim Kok Wing University of Creative Technology.

A citation read out at the conferrment ceremony held at Putrajaya International Convention Centre  on 22 July said Riot, who is six-term MP,  the award recognised the parliamentarian’s passion, commitment and dedication with which he successfully engaged in endeavours to uplift the nation’s workforce.

The citation said as Minister of Human Resources, Riot aimed to energetically progress reforms and initiatives on helping to deliver Msia’s Economic Transformation Programme.

The citation further said Riot tackled the country’s mushrooming manpower issues with gusto as he sought to enhance human capital capabilities and address human capital needs as part of Malaysia’s overall effort to achieve a high-income status.

The university, according to Lim, was impressed by Riot’s firm belief that it would be local talent that would provide the nation with a strong platform to sustaining rapid economic growth and enhance the nation’s global competitiveness.
