SERIAN: A total of RM7.5 million has been allocated to develop the Tebedu District Office (RM5 million) and Ranchan Pool Recreation Park (RM2.5 million).

This was revealed yesterday by Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg during the opening ceremony of the fourth Pesta Birumuh 2017 at the mini-stadium here.

He said the projects were part of the state government’s plans to further develop Serian.

“Domestic businesses will prosper and fisheries and farmers will benefit from them.

“The objective is to create economic activities in Serian,” said Johari, who is also the Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture.

“I feel it was appropriate when the late Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem upgraded Serian to a Division.
