MIRI: The Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) had allocated a total of RM900,000 allocation to St. Barnabas Church, here.
Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) news reported today said that the allocation is to finance the cost of the new church building project which still lacks the cost of a total of RM1.2 million.
“Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, Dr. Ripin Lamat handed over the allocation cheque at the closing ceremony of the Church Sale Day in St. Barnabas here, on Saturday,” it said.
Dr Ripin also expressed his intention to finance the cost of building a new church which is still short of RM300,000 next year.
