BAU: Repair works are underway to improve the road junction to Kampung Singai Apar.

Transport Deputy Minister Datuk Henry Harry Jinep said the Public Works Department (PWD) together with Pan Borneo Highway Project consultants and contractors will resolve issues at the junction within seven days.

“There have been complaints received from the public on the conditions of the junction.

“With many villages within the proximity, it is often busy with road users commuting back and forth.

“As such, it is crucial to solve the issues of potholes that often retain waters,” he said.

He was speaking to the press after conducting a site visit at the junction today.

The Tasik Biru assemblyman also requested for the steep slope along the road to Kampung Senibong to be resolved.

He proposed for the PWD, consultants and contractors to build a more gradual slope to prevent accidents.

At the same time, he urged the public and road users to be patient while repair works are in progress.

“The PWD, consultants and contractors have assured that the repair works will take approximately one week.

“I hope the public will give their cooperation for this,” he added.
