PROBLEMS IN MALAYA

OYA: Sarawak students facing problems in Malaya can contact Rumah Sarawak in Kuala Lumpur for help.

This advice was given by Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah.

According to her, Rumah Sarawak has a team of volunteers who could provide certain assistance to the students, who may need help.

“If you (students) are facing certain problems such as health, education and others, try to contact Rumah Sarawak in Kuala Lumpur.

“Do not keep the problems to yourself only,” she said when officiating at the handover of Dalat Education Foundation Aid Scheme to 36 recipients at Dalat state constituency Service Centre here on Monday.

Fatimah, who is also Dalat assemblywoman, gave such an advice in view that some of the aid recipients had been accepted to further their studies or undergo courses in Malaya.

In Malaya, Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof is in-charge of Rumah Sarawak, while here in Sarawak, Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman is the person taking charge of it, Fatimah revealed.
