Sanitisation efforts by Bomba, MBKS

KUCHING: Stutong Community Market was disinfected by Kuching South City Council (MBKS) and the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) yesterday morning.

The disinfection works was witnessed by Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian and MBKS mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng.

The operation led by Bomba Zone 1 chief Henderi Ardimansyah involved 38 personnel from MBKS and Bomba.

The sanitisation works started at 3.30pm and ended at 4.10pm, covering a total of 7717.84m2 of the premises.

Speaking at the event, Dr Sim said that all local authorities must take proactive measures in preventing the spread of Covid-19.

“The spreading of the virus is fast and all the authorities must act even faster to curb them,” he said.

Disinfection works at the Stutong Community Market is one of many measures undertaken to curb the spread.
