SBC receiving a courtesy call from the Netherlands Embassy Kuala Lumpur

KUCHING: Sarawak Biodiversity Centre (SBC) received a courtesy call from officials of the Netherlands Embassy Kuala Lumpur, today (Aug 18).

The delegation was led by its Deputy Head of Mission Eva Oskam and accompanied by the embassy’s officials; Deputy Head of Economic Machiel Van Stralen, Economic Affairs Officer Frans Kirpestein and Agriculture Advisor Li Huan Hoh.

SBC, in a social media post, said following the visit around its facilities, discussions comprising views and approaches to pursuing sustainability-oriented industries were held.

“The visit also highlighted the community-related project with the indigenous communities in Sarawak.

“We welcomed the Dutch team to explore possibilities of collaboration with us on life sciences related project as well as technologies on sustainable biomass to fuel conversion,” the post added.
