KUCHING: Satok assemblyman Datuk Ibrahim Baki presented letters of appointment and extension letters to the community leaders and village chiefs (KMKK) for Satok constituency on Friday (Feb 4).

The ceremony which took place at the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Satok Service Centre was carried out smoothly and in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP).

In his brief speech, Ibrahim congratulated all the incumbent KMKK who received their appointment extension letters.

“This includes two new village chiefs, namely Mohamad Yusof Johdi who is the village chief of Kampung Muhibbah and Burhanuddin Dolhan who is the village chief of Kampung Bandarsah. May you continue to succeed in serving the people,” he said.

Every KMKK plays an important role in disseminating government policies to the people in the state.

The KMKK acts as a bridge between the top administration and the grassroots, to ensure that all development agendas and assistance provided by the Sarawak government, can be channeled and reaches the people directly.
