State records 121 cases

KUCHING: Sarawak recorded 121 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the tally to 303,771.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement said 115 cases are in Categories 1 and 2 while six cases are in Categories 3, 4 and 5.

“Kuching recorded the highest number of cases at 35 followed by Miri (19); Bintulu (18); Limbang (13); Sibu (11); Samarahan (five) and Serian (four).

“There were two cases reported in Simunjan, Daro, Kanowit and Selangau respectively.

“The districts of Dalat, Sarikei, Lubok Antu, Asajaya, Mukah, Pusa, Subis and Pakan recorded one case each,” it said.

On another note, the committee announced the end of two clusters, namely Jalan Bukit Mata Cluster and Jalan Padungan Cluster in Kuching.

“No fatality was reported,” the committee said, adding that the state currently has one active cluster.
