KUCHING: The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) recently visited the Western Australian Chinese Chamber of Commerce (WACCC) in Perth to explore joint commercial activities.

The Sarawakian entrepreneurs discussed opportunities for increased trade, investment, and business activities between Sarawak and Western Australia.

The meeting between ACCCIS and WACCC was a step towards building a bridge between Sarawak and Western Australia, allowing for increased collaboration and investment opportunities.

“The visit is a significant step towards building stronger ties between Sarawak and Western Australia.

“It is hoped that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing will lead to increased business opportunities and closer economic cooperation between the two regions,” ACCCIS said in a statement today.

ACCCIS president Datuk Tan Jit Kee was invited to speak about Sarawak’s economy, investment opportunities, and the 133rd anniversary of the Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCGCCI) of which he is the president.

The dialogue focused on potential areas of collaboration, with both parties considering the possibility of signing a MoU.
