KUCHING: Members of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) will rest easy knowing their welfare will be protected all times through the Nadi Sarawak Takaful scheme.

Mossuri Takaful Services managing director, Sharifah Nor Azizah Wan Mustapha said the scheme was designed and underwritten by Etiqa General Takaful Berhad and Etiqa Family Takaful Berhad for the welfare of the party members.

“This is a group Takaful scheme which was first established in Sarawak with a price commitment as low as RM68.90 per person for a period of one year.

“The plan offers a comprehensive protection package starting with natural death and theft. I am confident and sure this kind of package is not in the current market,” she said at the launch of Nadi Sarawak Takaful in Satok last Saturday (Oct 3).

She added that Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Satok Economic Bureau had also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for 10 years with Mossuri Takaful Services for the Nadi Sarawak programme.

“This proves that PBB Satok’s concern for members in its area is very high. We are the only official agency that operates the Nadi Sarawak programme in the state. We do not appoint any other individual or agency to implement this programme.

“We have high hopes that it will be supported by all community leaders in Sarawak and especially by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg,” she said.

Meanwhile, PBB Satok Economic Bureau chairman, Dzamaluddin Zainudin said the advantage of this Takaful scheme is that it involved only one payment a year.

“It is also open to all members of Parti Bumiputera Pesaka Party (PBB) and GPS as well as small entrepreneurs throughout Sarawak,” he said.

Also present at the launch was a political secretary to the Chief Minister, Abdul Samad Gany.
