BAU: Sarawak Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Henry Harry Jinep recently took part in gotong-royong activities to clean up the St James Bitikie football field at Kampung Tanjong Poting here.
According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the activity was organised by the village youths to clean the field area, which had not been used for a long time due to the enforcement of the Covid-19 standard operating procedure previously.
Henry, who is also Tasik Biru assemblyman, also had the opportunity to survey the conditions of the field to identify other needs for the improvement of facilities.
He said the addition of a parking lot near the field was needed to provide convenience to residents who visit St James Bitikie Church.
