BINTULU: Three motorists were injured in a nine-vehicle pile-up near a traffic light intersection at Mile 5, Bintulu this morning.
A spokesperson from Fire and Rescue Department operations centre said the accident involved two lorry trailers, three four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicles and four cars.
Initial reports disclosed that three persons were injured and have been rushed to Bintulu Hospital for medical treatment.
Fortunately, there were no reports of fatalities.
Bintulu firemen, police and medics responded to the crash which occurred at 10.53am.
The incident caused a massive traffic jam along the road.
The cause of the accident is not immediately known as investigations are underway.
