KUCHING: City residents have given their vote of approval for a car-free morning programme organised by Kuching North City Commission (DBKU).

All agreed that the idea to give people more space for recreational activities is second to none, and can only get better as shown via a voxpop carried out following the inaugural event on Sunday (Feb 6).

In my opinion, this programme is beneficial for the people here but the space for recreational activities is quite small for me. I hope DBKU will further expand the route and continue to organise such programmes in the future.

For me, this Kuching Car Free Morning programme can encourage people’s enthusiasm to participate in recreation and sports activities with their family members. Despite many people participating in this programme, all adhered to the SOPs by keeping a distance and wearing face masks.

Honestly, this programme is very good for us to show people here what a remote control crawler is. Hence, we see that today, at this programme, it is a good place for us to do a remote control flash mob.

This programme is very good as it encourages a healthy lifestyle among the people in Kuching. In fact, this activity is also safe for children to participate because no cars are passing through this area during the programme. Therefore, if it is held once a month, the people can maintain good health and at the same time can strengthen ties among their family members.
