TYT receives visits from organising committees of two events

KUCHING: Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud received two visits today.

The first visit was from the committee members of the Sri Aman Benak Festival, led by Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis.

Harden said the courtesy call was to invite Taib to the closing ceremony of the festival and to present the King of the River Cup on Sept 11.

Taib also received a visit from the committee members of the Sarawak National Day celebration, led by Minister for Utility and Telecommunication, Datuk Julaihi Narawi. The theme for this year’s do is “Keluarga Malaysia Teguh Bersama”.

Julaihi told the media that the purpose of the visit was to invite Taib to the celebration on Aug 31 at the Tan Sri Datuk Amar Stephen Kalong Ningkan Sport Centre in Betong.
