BAU: An unemployed man was nabbed for possessing drugs believed to be methamphetamine at Kampung Blimbin, here last Tuesday.
Bau District police chief DSP Poge Nyaon said the 26-year-old suspect was detained at 11.30am by Bau NCID team.
“Following inspection conducted on the suspect, police found a cigarette box containing a small plastic bag with crystallised substance inside it.
“The substance is believed to be Syabu-type drugs. The drugs were seized and the suspect tested positive for methamphetamine.
“The suspect is being investigated under section 15 (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
“Bau NCID will continue to conduct inspections in public places, including crowded areas as well as areas where drug abuse is often suspected,” he said.
