TANJONG MANIS: Villagers here are happy with the completion of the 700-metre-long road pavement project at Jalan Sebayang/Tusok recently.

They can now use the road to sell their agricultural and fishery products. They don’t have to use the river anymore.

Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) reported that the RM700,000 project was one of the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects in Kuala Rajang constituency.

Kuala Rajang assemblyman, Datuk Len Talif Salleh, who is also the Assistant Minister of Urban Development and Resources, said the project was part of the Sarawak government’s commitment in developing basic facilities for the rural people.

He added that the project was successfully carried out because of the people’s support and trust in the leadership of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government.
